We had a delightful time at the District 1 Meeting; I wish more of you could have joined us. Nannette Winowiecki from the Pond Place in Milford told us all about Water Gardening and Vincent Sciarrino, Manager of Papa Joe’s in Rochester created beautiful and amazing carved fruits and vegetables.

Congratulations to Nan Reid! Once again her Yearbook was honored with a certificate. Out of a possible 100 points, our 2005-2006 Yearbook was given a 97! and took second place.

We will be welcoming a new member, Gertrude “Trudy” McDonald. We have had a number of guests who have expressed interest in joining and we most certainly welcome their interest.

“Connecting Body, Mind and Spirit” is the theme of the 75^th annual Michigan Garden Club Convention. It will run from May31 to June 2 at Boyne Highlands. All information is in the March/April/May 2006 issue of the Garden Gate. You still have time to register.
