Many thanks to Chris Britts for leading the April
meeting. I understand the iris program was very informative and fun
and that the speaker, Anne Cline, gave everyone pieces of iris rhizomes
and invited us to visit her garden.
Some of you know
already that Kay Blakeney
fell and fractured her hip in 2 places. She is in Heartland
Rehabilitation,
Kay was scheduled to do
a flower arranging demonstration at our May meeting; and some of our other
very talented arrangers--Marge Allen,
Betty Bock, Jan Dolan, and Eleanor Sanders will be standing in for her.
We are happy to
welcome new member, Trudi Ferguson,
who was installed at the April meeting. Please add her to your
yearbooks:
Due to an error in
last month's newsletter about the date of the field trip, there were 2 trips to
Telly's! I'm sure all who went enjoyed the experience.
Please bring any
of your garden books that you would like to leave at your doctor's, dentist's, or other places. Betti Pool will have FGC labels
to put in the books to, hopefully, attract new members.
Upcoming plant exchanges, which will be held
rain or shine:
