Despite a little confusion because we couldn't locate some of our supplies that members had kindly offered to store over the summer, we had a good September meeting. As always, Janet Macunovich’s talk was excellent. Betty Beausoleil has been organizing our storage cupboards at Spicer, so the hostess committee should have an easier time at this meeting. If you have any supplies, please bring them to the meeting.
Many of us had our hopes up that we could move back to the Longacre House; but, alas, it is not to be. Hill and Dale is able to have two meetings there only because the Spicer House was booked on the day of their meetings. The city says that all club meetings have to be at Spicer; they are restricting the use of Longacre to events like weddings.
The fall District I meeting will be at the charming
Grosse Pointe War Memorial on Tuesday, October 17 (note the change since
the last newsletter). We will have the sign-up sheet at the October
meeting. Car pools will be arranged.
I have heard from several of the presenters for Holiday
Tables and am looking forward to another successful
show. We hope to have tickets for members to purchase at
the meeting. They will be $7.00.
