What
We Do
Good Neighbor Garden Contest - An annually held garden contest recognizing residential gardeners in Farmington
and Farmington Hills.
Biannual Holiday Tables - An annual fundraising event, which showcases holiday table
designs of several different holidays celebrated here and around the world.
Biannual Garden
Walk - A tour of exceptional gardens in the Farmington-Farmington Hills area.
Our next tour will be in July 2012. Please
see our Garden Walk page for more information.
Garden Maintenance - Some of our members take care of the Herb Garden at the
Governor Warner Museum.
Floral Design - With the professional instruction our members receive from a
flower show judge in our club...
Several of our members
help make the centerpiece floral arrangements for the various fund raising functions. We also
make festive floral arrangements to put in nursing homes around the holidays.
Schoolyard Habitat - We provide the money to pay for seeds, plants and tools from our fundraising.
The money is given to interested school personnel for building habitats for butterflies
and birds, building and installing bat houses and making rain gardens in their
schoolyard.
Guests
are always welcome and our members are encouraged to bring guests to meetings.
